EL sábado fuimos a una iglesia chiquita en Irbid, el norte de Jordania. Esta iglesia funciona en la escuela primaria adventista. Es interesante ver que nosotros eramos más que la congregación. Aun así nos llenaron de comida y de alegría y pasamos un hermoso día con ellos. A la vuelta Andrés y yo volvimos con el pastor de Jordania, Jhonny, en su auto. También estaban algunos de los chicos de Andrews. Jhonny nos llevó hasta la casa de sus padres donde charlamos con la mamá y los hermanos y tomamos té. Después fuimos a Jerash, una de las ciudades de Decápolis, donde Jesús fue. Las ruinas son enormes y bien preservadas. Fue increíble. Lo mejor fue, cuando volvíamos, que Jhonny nos dice: ¿Ven ese arroyo? Sí, le decimos. Y él nos dice: Ahí es donde estaba Elías escondido y los cuervos le llevaban comida... ¿¿Qué?? Así que dio una vuelta, paramos, y sacamos algunas fotos. Un día hermoso.
On Sabbath we went to a small church in Irbid, in the north of Jordan. This church is held in the adventist elementary school. It was interesting that we were more than the congregation. But even so, we received so much fod and joy, and had a graet time together.Andres and me came back with the pastor for Jordan, Jhonny, in his car. Four other students were also with us. Jhonny took us to his parents' house where we chatted with his mom and siblings, and had some tea. After that we went to Jerash, one of the cities of the Decapolis, where Jesus went. The ruins are huge and very well-kept. It was amazing. The best part was, on the way back, when Jhonny tells us: Do you see that creek? Yes, we answer. And he replies: Well, that's where Elijah was hidden and the birds took food to him... What?!?! So he turned around, we stopped for a minute and took a ton of pictures. It was an amazing day.
