Jordania - Jordan 2

On Wednesday morning we got up early to go to Petra. We began at 7.30 to walk the 2 kilometers that separate the entry to the Treasury, the most known part of Petra, which originaly was a royal tomb. After taking lots of pictures and refusing to buy poscards from a lot of children, we continued on our way to see more important and not so important tombs, and to climb the mountain to get to the Monastery. The Monastery is another work of art, a sculpture on rock. A little bit further from there we can reach the End of the World where there´s a beautiful view of the area. Glenn suggested that we dedicate a moment to sit in silence, look around, and pray. It was great. From there we went down the mountain, rested a little bit and got on some camels to experience the feeling of riding a camel. It was great but rather uncomfortable, haha! The last thing we did in Petra was climb to the High Place where sacrifices were made. We came back to the hotel exhausted and with our legs trembling, had dinner and went out looking for more souvenirs.

Megan didn´t buy anything, but gave a little girl who was selling postcards a picture with her Polaroid. The girl told us afterwards that it was the first time she had a picture of herself.
