UBON: DESTINO FINALFINALFINALFINALFIN… - UBON: FINAL DESTINATION… FINALLY!!!

    Dos motivos para este título: primero Ubon es nuestro destino final… y segundo… AL FIN llegamos!!!! Siii… fue toda una aventura y un viaje especial. Tren desde Bangkok a Ubon… 15 HORAS de tren… fue más largo que el avión más largo… jeje… Tardamos más en atravesar parte del país que el continente asiático… jaja…

Novedad para ambos, tren para dormir, venia un “asafato” y te armaba la cama… dejabas tus bolsos donde podias y te llevas lo de más valor con vos a la “cucheta”. Si, son tipo cuchetas; Naty y yo quedamos enfrentados, los dos arriba.  Ya los van a ver en las fotos.

Finalmente ya no sabíamos cómo sentarnos, como estar, etc… y después de 15 mil paradas… finalmente Ubon y todo su calor (literal) nos recibió. GRACIAS CARLA!!! Nos fue a buscar con un cartel hermoso y unos collares de flores, ni hablar de todo lo que preparó antes… ya van a ver algunas fotos, una canastita de bienvenida, mapas de Ubon, flores naturales, paquetitos de snacks típicos de ahí, etc… Fue un recibimiento caluroso en todo sentido.

Dejamos algunas fotos para que disfruten y  luego ya vamos a ir subiendo más de la ciudad en si para que la conozcan.

Two reasons for the title: Ubon is our final destination, and FINALLY we got there!! It was an adventure and a special trip. Train from Bangkok to Ubon: 15 hours!! Longer than the longest flight!! It took us longer to cross part of the country than to cross almost the entire continent…

Sleeping train was something neither Andres not me had done before. Un man come and arranged the beds, you left your baggage where you could and took the most valuable possessions with you to the planks. Andres and I were on the two upper planks… you’ll see the pictures…

At the end we didn’t know how to sit, or lay, and after 15 thousand stops, we arrived at Ubon with all its heat. THANK YOU, CARLA!! She went to get us with a beautiful banner, flowers, and prepared a lot for us before. You’ll see the pictures: a welcoming basket, maps of Ubon, flowers, typical snacks… it was a warm welcome in every sense!!
